There's power in positive thinking

​Sending light and love to my clients and their loved ones during these unprecedented times. This pandemic certainly has the power to fuel anxieties, stresses and worries as we all try to stay safe and keep each other safe. Worrying about family members young and older, as well as the concerns for our personal welfare can feel absolutely overwhelming. Many are facing employment conflicts, whether working from home with young children, facing lay-offs, or finding ways to cope when working in isolation.

This too shall pass. Repeat it with me. This too shall pass. The greatest advice I can share is to be patient and kind to yourself. Breathe. Take a moment. Focus on self-care. And set aside things that are not in your power to control. Negative thoughts can quickly and easily take over your mind and become all-consuming. I recommend taking time daily to ground yourself and let go of these thoughts. Do what you can to stay safe of course, but find light in your life and allow positive energies to flow through you.

Here are some affirmations to help you manage your mental health and find peace within:
  • I believe in my ability to get through tough times.
  • I will not stress over things I cannot control.
  • The feelings in my body are normal and I fully accept them.
  • It’s ok that yesterday felt like a hard day.
  • I have an inner sense of calm.
  • I will be present and calm today.
  • All of my feelings are ok.
  • I get angry sometimes, but I am full of love.
  • I can take things one day, or one hour, at a time.
  • When I go with the flow, my life is easy and filled with joy.
  • I appreciate my life and find things to be grateful for.
  • I have been through hard things before and have survived them.
  • This will not break me.
  • I let go of what I can’t change and do my best with what I can.
  • I am going to focus on things I love to get me through this.
  • This is hard, and I can do hard things.
  • I am allowed to express pain.
  • I have the ability to overcome anxiety.
